‘WAVES OF CHANGE’ : SEMINAR ON WORLD OCEANS DAY

A group of 47 students from the Fourth and Second Semesters of the B.Com. Tourism and Travel Management program, accompanied by a faculty member, attended a seminar titled ‘Waves of Change’ on Saturday, June 8th, 2024. The seminar was held from 10:30 AM to 11:45 AM at the Uday Samudra Leisure Beach Hotel in Kovalam. Organized as part of the hotel’s CSR initiative, the seminar offered a valuable learning experience for the students. The program included:

  • A session on the significance of World Oceans Day.
  • A case study presentation on ocean conservation efforts.
  • Presentations by prominent figures from various fields, providing diverse insights into ocean conservation.

These sessions provided the attending students with a deeper understanding of the importance of protecting our oceans. Following the seminar, with the kind permission of the organizers, the students were given a tour of the entire Uday Samudra Leisure Beach Hotel. Additionally, all participants received certificates of participation. Students from other institutions also participated in the seminar, enriching the overall experience. The entire program served as a catalyst, motivating the students to become more responsible towards the environment and take proactive steps in ocean conservation efforts.
