Reading Day Celebration  19  June 2024

Roshni Christ College’s Roshni Hindi Manch celebrates National Reading Day. June 19, in observance of Puthuvayil Narayana panicker’s life and contributions, who is recognized as the “Father of India’s Library Movement.” Renowned Kerala educator and educationalist PN Paniker made it his life’s mission to advance literacy and education in India. Since 1996, Kerala has celebrated on June 19, the anniversary of his death, as Vayanadinam, or “Reading Day.” In an effort to encourage students to love reading, Roshni Hindi Manch and IQAC celebrated Reading Day at Christ College Vizhinjam. Hindi Pad Rachana’s competition and the poster-making competition are part of the festivities. Eleven students are competing in the  graduate & post graduate -level poster-making and Padh Rachana competitions

 

The report provides a detailed account of the event, including photo graphs. The competition commenced at one hour (from 12.30 p.m. to 1.30 p.m.) in the college auditorium. The students come up with excellent creative ideas. Poster Making competition Ms. Rajeswari SR (S4 Finance) acquired the first position, and Ms. Naahida Fargeen (S4 Psychology) acquired the second prize. Pad raçhana competition, Ms. Anannya S. Rhini (S4BA English) acquired first and Ms. Asna SS acquired the Second Prize.
