CHRIST COLLEGE CELEBRATED DIKSHA 2023 THE ACADEMIC INAUGURATION 

The word DIKSHA is derived from Sanskrit which means ‘Guru delivering  wisdom to disciples’. It is also the passing of mantra or an initiation by the guru  (in guru-shishya tradition). When the mind of guru and the disciples become  united, we say that the disciples has been initiated by the guru. Likewise, through  the academic inauguration of DIKSHA, we are trying to develop a healthy Guru 

Shishya relationship. Through DIKSHA, we are stepping towards our motto  ‘Excellence in Life & Learn to Serve 

DIKSHA 2023 was inaugurated by Rev. Dr. Mathew Thengumpally CMI,  Principal of Christ Nagar ICSE School Kawdiar Trivandrum. The inaugural  ceremony was on 18th August 2023 at 9.30 a.m. in the Auditorium. The ceremony  began with a prayer. College principal Dr. Joseph K.A. welcomed the chief guest  and the gathering. After that, the chief guest Rev. Dr. Mathew Thengumpally  CMI inaugurated DIKSHA 2023 by lightning the lamp and addressed thegathering with a meaningful speech. He spoke about the importance of education.  There was an orientation session handled by the chief guest on “Responsible  Parenting” (Adolescence). The university toppers Hizana B & Salma Afra M (Department of Tourism), and Vismaya B (Department of English) were  honoured by the college, and they received the cash prize and memento from the  chief guest. Staff secretary Dr. Usha Satheesh extend the vote of thanks.
