To instill practical knowledge and a basic understanding of the commerce subject, the commerce department of Christ College has organized an annual exhibition . The idea was to felicitate personality development by involving students in basic practical understanding of the subject.
The exhibition inaugurated by Dr. Irudaya Raj (social worker) and the session was also blessed with our beloved principal Dr. Joseph K A . By addressing the gathering, the guest praised the students for putting up meaningful exhibits and asked them to keep up the good work. He also appreciated the role of the Commerce department for guiding the students in their innovative ideas.
The students of BCom Tax , BCom Finance and BCom Tourism displayed various models related to the subject in this exhibition. All the participants gathered in auditorium and set up their models. Nearly 250 students took part in the exhibition. More than 70 exhibits were on display.
The models presented by students were related to topics like GST, Accounting cycle,E-commerce, Evolution of money, Foreign exchange, Advertising,sock marketing,tourism etc. The judges for the exhibition were Mr.Ramesh Chandran, Asst. Prof, Dept. Of Social Work and Dr. Roshan R, Asst. Prof, Dept of Management Studies.
The principal along with faculty members had visited each and every model. Each class was invited to visit the exhibition. The judges for the event had seen all the presentations exhibited by the students by visiting each model and listening to their explanation. Based on this, the judges, as per the judgement criteria, gave the results of the event. The results were announced on the occasion of ethnic day celebrations.
The list of winners for the event are as follows:
First prize was won by Sivani S S,Nayan Krishna and Sivlaya P S for working model on stock marketing .
Second prize was won by Muhammed Shehin, SoorajS R, Abin J S, Madhavanunni, Krishna Dev for eco friendly accommodation model.
Prize for innovative work was won by Ajith S, Abhinav Michael, Midhun K S, Sujith S, Krishna R S, Anandha Krishan J s for the model of Eiffel tower using match sticks.
The event was organized under the guidance of Asst.Professors Ms.Remya R T and Mr. Joseph P Job. The students of commerce enthusiastically took part in the exhibition as they also got an opportunity to showcase their talents through various channels. The Commerce department Exhibition was successful in obtaining rave reviews from the visitors and students alike.
