The orientation session on Grooming and Personality Development was taken by Dr Syamnath R S. The session was initiated by Dr Joseph K A, the principal of Christ College after a prayer by Mr. Adhil N and a welcome address by Mr Ebin Das of first semester BBA. Dr. Syamnath was introduced to the students by Dr. Roshan R, HOD, Department of Management Studies, Christ College.
Dr. Syamnath R S is currently working as Head of Department of Lourdes Matha Institute of Management Studies (LMIMS). He has over 8 years of teaching experience, 2 years of experience in Advocacy, and 4 years of Research experience. He started his career as an Advocate in District Court, Trivandrum. He entered the field of teaching as Guest Faculty for Business and Corporate Law. He holds graduation in Business Administration (BBA) and Law (LLB), Post-Graduation in Business Administration (MBA) and Commerce (M. Com), and Doctoral Degree (Ph. D) in Management Studies from the University of Kerala. His doctoral thesis is titled “Tourism Industry in Kerala: A Study on Legal Environment in the Accommodation Sector”.
Prior to joining LMIMS, he has associated with several institutes as a guest lecturer. He was a resource person and trainer to several EDPs, Workshops, and training programs organized by corporates, Government Institutions, and academic agencies. He has published 19 research papers in various National and International journals, conference proceedings, and edited books. He has presented 30 research papers and attended several seminars and conferences of National and International repute. He has associated with Indian Rare Earth Limited (IRE) – Govt of India, Coir Board – Government of Kerala, Milma – Government of Kerala, Fisheries Cooperative Union and various corporates as resource person for Training and Human Resource Development programs (HRD).
He introduced the different styles of grooming applicable to both ladies and gents for different occasions. He also gave an insight into how grooming shapes the personality of an individual. The session was attended by the students of both first year and second year BBA.
